MARCH 2023 DES MOINES IA HOUSING MARKET
The week of March 3, 2023 found single family homes in the Des Moines, IA area selling on average at $228,000, with an average price per square foot of $197. Condos/townhomes sold for an average of $422, 400.
There were 187 single family homes listed, with an average of 88 days on the market. 71 condos/townhomes were on the market, spending an average of 196 days on the market.
Des Moines is still considered to be in a Seller's Market with less inventory available than there are buyers, however the competition is so far less fierce and 50% of offers have been below asking price.
